AGL Torrens managed water decreased 9% compared to FY23. This decrease aligns with a 19% reduction in generation.

Notes

Managed water comprises non-consumptive use of water.

AGL Hydro Managed Water includes the following facilities, West Kiewa, Bogong, Clover, Mckay, Dartmouth, Banimboola, Eildon, Rubicon Scheme, Yarrawonga, Burrendong, Copeton, Pindari, and Glenbawn power stations.

Hydro managed water data had not been collected in FY23, so FY22 data was used as a proxy. FY23 was one of the wettest years Hydro had experienced on record, so there was more water in the scheme and dams leading into FY24. This, combined with further rainfall in H1 of FY24 is the reason for the significant increase from FY22 to FY24.
