Community contribution by location or operational area
In FY24, AGL increased our support for local community partners who provide financial assistance to those in need in communities where we operate resulting in a 17.7% increase in its local community contributions compared to FY23.
Earlier in FY24, AGL and Tilt Renewables agreed to terminate agreements pursuant to which AGL provided asset management and agency and dispatch services in respect of certain assets owned by Tilt Renewables, namely the Nyngan Solar Plant, Broken Hill Solar Plant, Coopers Gap Wind Farm and Silverton Wind Farm. As a result, from June 2024 (for Nyngan Solar Plant, Coopers Gap Wind Farm and Silverton Wind Farm) and July 2024 (for Broken Hill Solar Plant), Tilt Renewables is responsible for operations and maintenance for each facility, while AGL continues to have offtake agreements in respect of these assets. Coopers Gap Farm and Broken Hill Solar Plant had existing community contribution commitments ending in FY24, which were honoured by AGL. |
From FY22, this data series includes all community contributions at assets that AGL operates. Up to and including FY21, data only included funding grants allocated through a publicly advertised expression of interest process which was open to all organisations and associations operating within the community which met a specific set of criteria. |
Community contributions for AGL Macquarie, Loy Yang, Torrens Island Power Station and AGL Hydro were not separately itemised in FY20 but were included in overall community contributions. |
NR: Not reported separately within this data series. |
